In 2001 I visited Buenos Aires, and I saw myself in the middle of the massive demonstrations of people that protested the chaos in the country caused by the government economic policies. Many were forced to leave the country, others remained. Global Tango is a collage of personal memories, testimories from tango artists, performances and cinema verité, to tell the story of the displacement of Argentineans caused by the economic crisis. www.tiempoazul.org

I do like the idea of tango being a creatuve vehicle for artists to express their feelings about the conditions that prevail in Argentina.
